I've had a Verizon contract for 4 years that I no longer wish to continue.

So now that's done I've been looking at their prepaid plans and a few days ago I bought the Droid x2 and subscribed to their $64 prepaid plan and $30 unlimited data.

So I got the phone. Love it and everything works perfect and just as good as my contract without the 2 year commitment.

However today Verizon scrapped that plan and replaced it with a $80 unlimited calls, texted but with only 1gb data.

Also that plan can only be used on one phone that they have on the site.

So what I'm wondering is will this plan replace my current prepaid plan or will I be able to keep it? Unlimited calls does sound good, but my unlimited data sounds betteer.

Or will I be able to keep my current plan?

Does anyone know?

I'm having problems with my Verizon forums account so I figured I'd ask here.
My next step is to call Verizon and deal with their annoying customer service. So I'm hoping someone here will know

Thanks

I would take the unlimited data over the voice minutes myself...but thats my opinion.

If need be there's a verizon reseller that will allow you to activate any android phone from verizon with a clean ESN. They are Page Plus and they operate on the whole verizon network so your coverage ought to be good to go. Now is your DroidX2 a Prepaid defined device or did you buy it from other source? PP won't activate verizon prepaid droids... they only activate post paid droids...

It was one of the few smartphonea it had for its prepaid smartphone service. So I bought it from them along with the prepaid plan.

1gb data sounds useless lol

aww so it's a VZW PP phone then... ouch you can't activate it on any verizon reseller (MVNO) then :-( Those ESNs are locked.
