Nice, CA -- A mother has been charged with incest after she was found in hotel room with her teenage son along with videos of them having sex.

Police said the 16-year-old had videos on his cell phone that showed his mother Mistie Atkinson performing oral sex on him.

They also recovered nude photographs the 32-year-old had sent her son as she began the illicit relationship earlier this year.

The boy, who lives with his father who has sole custody, was aware Atkinson was his biological mother.

Court records do not reveal how much contact the teen had with his mother before they began their affair.

But investigators said Atkinson had no custody rights to the boy.

'Atkinson and the victim are aware they are biological mother and son,' investigators wrote in an arrest affidavit.

Atkinson and the teen were found in a motel room in Ukiah, California, on March 2nd.

She was booked into the Napa County Jail and charged with incest, oral copulation of a minor, contact with a minor for a sexual offense and sending harmful matter to a minor.

Police said in a court filing that videos captured from the boy?s phone show Atkinson allegedly performing oral sex and engaging in sexual intercourse with the teenager.

The time coded videos were dated Feb. 3 and Feb. 4.

Atkinson is being held in jail on bail of $200,000.

is it me or this sort of situation is coming up more frequently....increasingly more cases like this are getting splattered on the news....jeeezzz mom's if you're lonely get one of the "face massagers" and kids if you're horny as hell....ask your mother for money and go and get oral from a professional:P

This isn't that uncommon. If they were not together when he was growing up they miss that bonding that builds familiarity. Then, when they did get together, the emotions can get mixed up and what should feel as love between mother and son becomes sexual because of that lack of bonding/familiarity.

There was a case in England where a father and daughter were reunited. She was given up for adoption by the mother and the father never had contact with her until she tracked him down. They were both adults when they met and it started off innocently. But soon after meeting they 'fell in love' and started a relationship. They were both charged with incest. A psychiatrist that was interviewed described that lack of bonding as a contributing factor. It's that bonding that makes us say 'ewwwww' when we read about this. Most of us can't empathize because we've had some type of bonding.

It would be interesting to find out what level of contact these two had when he was younger. Regardless, she is messed up.
