IPS isn't a feature that is built into all firewall software. IPS is a feature that's supported by some(many) dedicated firewalls(which costs more then normal home routers). Routers normally include a basic firewall, not a full-blooded firewall.But that is the definition for a router, they usually have inbuilt firewalls in them, and with firewalls comes IPS systems.
But yeah, doesn't matter now since I've got it all running from an arch vm!
