(Europe which would be EOBD but whatever)

Hey

Im looking at a Honda Accord from 2000 (I want a old car) but I want it to have OBD/OBD-II for when I put a PC in it and hence will give me not only easier but quicker diagnostics when I take it to the shop (along with other useful information of course)

So would this 2000 model have it? Or do I have to go a few years forward? Better yet, if it is a few years back (even cheaper) Im all for it!

ODB-II was made mandatory in 1996 for all US cars, not sure about Europe. Wikipedia mentions 2001 for EODB, I'm not sure if it means that is when it was made mandatory or if cars had it before that.

I imagine cars before that had it (as basically a lot of models are the same) but it indeed is a bitch that it was made mandatory in 2001....

Still, I dont think there would be much difference in price between 2000 and 2001. Im just worried about the model changing (which I havent looked at)
