eXplosive
I connect to my computer and home via RDP at my school. The only problem with this is that the RDC program leaves the name of the computer you last tried to connect to. Someone mischievous could try to connect to my CPU, but I doubt anyone would guess my password. Is there any way to remove this history?
OSUKid7
don't connect via rdc client...connect via your http tsweb folder. Just set up your WinXP Pro PC with IIS, and I think you can install RDC. Maybe that's just on Win Server 2003 though :/ What really sux is my school blocks the port for rdc (I'm guessing). I've tried both the client and the tsweb folder on my website, and both give me an error message (and yes, I have installed the acive X script). HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\Default you'll see keys that begin with MRU Delete the entry you don't want.
eXplosive
Thanks xStainDx I'll try it out tomorrow. Would it be possible to make a .reg file so this can be automated?
yudi_lks
Or you can also do this 1. Open My Documents 2. Go to Tools > Folder Options > under View tab, choose to Show Hidden File and Folder.. 3. And delete the Remote Desktop Connection File (See pic attached) 4. This should solve your problem without messing around with registry..
eXplosive
Yes, I know about that file, but the history of previous host still show up. xStainDx's regedit works fine. Thanks anyways.
