Ronnie O'Sullivan claims fourth world title

Ronnie O'Sullivan claimed his fourth world title with an 18-11 win over Ali Carter at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre before dismissing claims he would retire from the sport.

Having resumed 15-10 ahead from the afternoon session, O'Sullivan claimed three out of the next four frames to join Stephen Hendry (7), Steve Davis (6) and John Higgins (4) as multiple winners of the tournament in the Crucible era.

He hinted that he might follow Hendry into retirement after reaching the final by Matthew Stevens, but plans to continue after six-month break to spend time with his son Ronnie Jr, who flanked him as he clasped the trophy for a fourth time after his triumphs in 2001, 2004 and 2008.

Asked if he would chase Hendy's record of seven, O'Sullivan responded: "I'm not going to put a target on it.. I'm going to have six months off (to spend time with the family)...it is all good."

HELLLLLLLLLLLLLL YEAHHHHHHHHHHH.

I'm so happy to see this!

I'm so freaking glad that Ronnie won and not Ali, since Ali is a major douchebag and acts like a 7 year old child.

Glad to see Ronnie O'Sullivan win another major competition. Past few years he has not been at his best. As we all know. When he plays well no one can beat him.

While i feel he didn't need to play his best against Ali Carter because he didn't need to. He still looked good throughout the tournament and seemed to keep his game to a good level throughout the tournament.
