Apple filters the word ?Jailbreak? across all online stores

In a blow for fans of Irish hard rockers Thin Lizzy, Apple has begun to replace the word ?Jailbreak? with ?J*******k? in all of its online marketplaces in the US, including the App Store and iTunes. According to the Shoutpedia blog, the bug (feature?) -- originally pointed out by iOS hacker MuscleNerd -- isn?t occurring in international stores, and we can confirm that the UK store leaves the word intact:

The filter is clearly related to Apple?s ongoing attempts to crush the iOS homebrew scene and preserve its perfectly-manicured, walled-garden user experience. But we can?t help but think it?s a strange way to go about it.
