HTC One X Display as a Hammer and Drives Actual Nails

technically its gorilla glass 2 show case. Build of one X seems to be good too.

Besides serving as a phone and a mobile computing device, have you ever wondered what other purposes the HTC One Xcould serve a user? How about a hammer for those annoying times you may want to drive a nail into some wood and you just so happened to be without and actual hammer? Well sure, this HTC engineer wants to show you that that is completely plausible. Not recommended, but plausible.

As you will see in the video below, this gentleman creates his own form of scratch-drop-crash test and uses the One X?s display as a hammer head. I guess the folks at HTC wern?t too happy once they got wind of this demo because the fella you see in the video is apparently now without job. Maybe he should submit his resume to Gorilla Glassnext. I am sure they love seeing someone put that much faith into their product.

Jump past the break to see the video for yourself. It?s pretty nuts.

You do know that HTC doesn't make just Android phones, right?

My first HTC in a while. Not disappointed with this phone, it's really nice. However, I do think the camera is a heap of crap, but I don't care, I have a DSLR for that.

My whole point was that Nokia Engineers made a video 9 days ago that used a Lumia 900 as a hammer.. then HTC Engineers release this video days later that is the exact same test..

Just like if apple did a test of scuba diving with their phone then Nokia did the exact same test I would call them out as well.. Its just stupid when companies cant be creative for themselves..

Well yeah, when companies make a claim in their advertising, their rivals are clearly going to put out "me too" videos if their devices are also capable of what they did.

Why would htc not show the world that their phones can be used to hammer nails too - what would they possibly gain by letting people think only Nokias can do that?

Use your brain man.

Funny considering some people just did this with Nokia. Just proves it is not the manufacturer of the phone, but the damn glass that is making it so resilient towards this kind of abuse. So praise Gorilla Glass, not Nokia/HTC.

Err... this isn't a commercial or anything directly from the company, is it? It's just a few HTC workers messing around, taking a video, and then posting it online...
