Ever used a site critiquing service?

Anyone here ever use a site critiquing service?

I have a site that I put together which is an e-commerce site, and while it is passing most online validation tests SEO wise (sans young domain issues) , it is still ranking fairly low and the conversion is at a flat ZERO since it has been open (Since Feb.), my client has recently switched to a Free Shipping model to try to convert some cart abandonment issues.

I have used Google as my friend in searching and so forth, but as I am sure most here reading this know, the prices and opinions will vary greatly.

So, anyone here use a service such as this with any proven results?

Well, I can, but there is an issue - I posted the site to another forum for a different reason and now it has a nice back link to the site tied to my user name. That is not what I want in this case. The link there was a "Grand Opening Advertisement" Okayed by the Forum admin. While some would say a back link is good, I don't feel like it would be a safe bet SEO wise or potential customer wise to find the site say through here and see that people were evaluating it and critiquing it.

I will however, PM a link to anyone who wants ho help with this here. It is a gift based site non-adult related and has a medium sized product line. Most certainly SFW. :)

Well, I have seen about 3 people come from here in the stats. :ermm:

I figured I would offer up the URL since it seemed most people were wanting to help, but maybe not.

So, I go back to my original question. Do you have any sites or companies that offer advice, diagnostics, critiquing services for site owners that you have used or at least worth their grain in salt?
