Digitalfox Posted June 29, 2012 Share Posted June 29, 2012 Hi, I'm a live.com email user since 2006. :) I have acess to my both live.com emails (Yes this are my accounts, no hacking on other people emails whatsoever). I have no longer the Alternate email address that I used when registring in 2006. And today I went to account settings and tried to add a new Alternate email address. Guess what.. It says it will send me a email to my previous Alternate email address to confirm the changes. Great.. But... wait... the problem is that my previous Alternate email address has expired and is no longer available for me to use. So how the hell with only this option of confirming, am I going to change my Alternate email address? :angry: Guys pelase help me out here, since even my phone number can't be updated without a funcional Alternate email address... :o Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

dipsylalapo Supervisor Posted June 29, 2012 Supervisor Share Posted June 29, 2012 Coincidence, I had to do this a few days ago, although I wanted to change because the email wasn't one that I accessed regularly. When I did mine it said that the email would be automatically removed after 30 days. So if you didn't want to faf, just leave it for a month and it should automatically be removed. This alternative address email was set up back in 2006 on both accounts. ( Yep I'm the one to blame for not changing it :( ) So now my other account is telling me it's blocked (It accepts the password), I press Continue and it tells me it will send me a verification email to the invalid email address. Could you help me out here please, I'm loosing my mind over this as it's my personal account... Also both this account used to be Linked (LINK ID). But since I just changed the password (Better late than sorry) on this account I'm not even able to enter in the other account anymore.
