TAMPA - A Facebook rumor about a possible brawl at a Temple Terrace bowling alley proved to be true when a huge fight broke out among hundreds of teens Sunday night, according to police.

Terrace Sports in Temple Terrace hosted a dance party Sunday night, expecting about 300 teens.

The business planned on handling their own security, but when 600 teens showed up and Facebook messages alluded to possible fights, they asked police for an official presence in case things got out of hand.

A fight did break out and police were asked to help close down the party.

No injuries were reported, but someone may have been pepper-sprayed by officers in the parking lot.

In addition, gunshots may have been fired between two vehicles.

When are people going to stop posting stuff like this on Facebook? I mean I have been reading and seeing more and more about how something illegal is posted on Facebook and the police and/or other agencies read it and 'intervene.' Do the people who post this stuff stop and realize that their friends are not the only ones who might be able to read what they are posting?
