Cisco locks customers out of their own routers, only lets them back in if t

Recommended Posts

I'm glad I have older linksys/cisco routers that no longer recive updates, was planning (dragging my feet) on updating them dd-wrt... his will spur me to do it faster now.

WRT110 / E2000.

Newegg also has this dual band N w/ AB router that's also tempting from Asus.

Asus make awesome routers. Looking at a RT-N66U myself for my next upgrade. Having slight issues with my WRT600n..

Bad bad publicity for Cicso indeed. I'll reconsider getting anything Cisco!

How does it feel to be an Apple sheep?

Many other quality routers out there.

Well Cisco, No longer going to recommend you to any of my 1,700+ customers. I use to say it didn't really matter what brand you bought. Now i'm going to say anything but a cisco.

That's really weird. I've always really liked Cisco's stuff. I have one of their routers at home, but luckily it hasn't been affected by this. Still, lame move by them.

I'm in need of wireless with a capable range of 10,001 sq foot for my mansion.

Linksys wont cover that they dont have ext antennas in thier new routers.....

get a repeater or get rid of that 1 sq ft.
