Verizon Prepaid $50 unlimited roaming question

I'm looking into getting a Verizon prepaid $50 per month unlimited phone service. My question has to do with roaming. All I can find online, is that when you roam, you are charged .20 cents per min. My question is how does that work with unlimited when you already pre paid, and when they don't have your billing info or when you just buy the pre paid cards from the store. How do they charge you the .20 cents. My guess is that the phone just won't work when you are roaming.

If someone knows the answer to that question, that would be great

Prepaid only covers your 'area' -- if you roam, you get charged extra.

I know in PA you get charged for the prepaid card, plus '911' service charge, plus state tax. :/

Let's end the confusion. You can't "roam" with the newer unlimited prepaid phones. Same with AT&T MVNOs or their own prepaid service. There are parts of PA where i'd normally roam on iWireless or soemething like that but with prepaid devices you just get "No Service" - if it's say a roaming partner that's now owned by mother company (Verizon / Alltel or something) then it might still work.

The 20c per minute deal you are seeing is for customers that sign up for the minute plans. Where they have a balance on their account and it uses X cents/min normally vs 20 cents/min when roaming to draw from that balance. T-Mobile for example has a plan where you can put $100 on an account and it'll stay active all year long. Roaming with that line however though sucks from that $100 faster than if you weren't roaming.
