RudyJ
Quite by accident I discovered that you no longer need a paid for Yahoo! Mail Plus subscription to receive your Yahoo! mail in your prefred email client. Was this already known and did I just miss it or did Yahoo! quietly enable this? RudyJ
Odd, it works for me using uk.yahoo.com. I went to the options on my Yahoo! mail page, set the spam handeling preference, clicked the ? and followed the instructions for Windows Live Mail. The exception to no-pay is North America - Mail Plus has the vast majority of their subscriber base here (US and Canada in particular). Also, POP3 support for individuals is commonplace with most Internet providers (and especially broadband providers) in North America - not so anywhere else. Scorbing
No wonder why Yahoo is going down the drain. They are the only ones charging for POP access. Hotmail, Gmail and AOL do not charge for POP access.
jnelsoninjax
There was a trick I saw a while back to get POP3 access from yahoo in the US, simply change your profile to reflect that you are living in Asia, and once that is saved, you can access yahoo via POP3
