Little Dilla Anargia Adilla, three, was born with Hydrocephalus - a rare condition that causes her body to produce too much spinal fluid.

This excess fluid collects in the skull causing her head to grow at an alarming rate and from ear to ear her head now measures a whopping 100cm.

The debilitating condition has left the brave tot unable to walk or talk and she spends her days being cared for by her dad Azwar Anas, 31, mum Puspita, 28 and sister Fazira, seven, at their home in Bogor, Indonesia.

The condition affects 1 in 500 babies and is treatable in the UK through a standard two-hour procedure, where a neurosurgeon inserts a thin tube called a shunt to drain the fluid.

But Dilla’s family have been unable to afford any treatment and doctors in Indonesia are now reluctant to carry out the operation due to the severity of Dilla’s condition.

Her parents are now praying for a miracle as they both unable to afford the treatment or find a doctor willing to help.

Mum Puspita said: “Ever since I was told by the doctors before her birth about her disabilities I have accepted it from the start.

“But seeing Dilla in so much pain is obviously tearing me apart.

“It doesn’t just affect me, it upsets everybody when we see her in pain.

“I don’t know whether she will survive this illness because she needs special and intensive care.”

“A doctor has told me that they can’t operate on Dilla because she is also getting weaker.

“I can only accept the gift that God has given to me and my husband.

“I know that God sent Dilla to me to take care of her with all my heart.

“We are not sure there’s going to be a miracle but we can only hope and the rest is up to God.”

Ok, I'd just like to say that I feel bad for this kid and her family...but that picture is really horrific. It's painful to look at. There wasn't a single doctor in their country that offered to help this child?

Is her head going to continue to swell because her parents can't afford the operation to put a shunt in her skull? That would be incredibly awful, and it makes me shiver just thinking about it.

A fundraiser has been initiated for Dilla. We are doing what we can to raise awareness for this little girl so she may have a chance at life. Please contribute since every little bit counts!!!

And yet they continue to spout god talk.

Anyway, why didn't the doctors act when they had the chance?
What do proper doctors think; has they left if too late?
If they were to intervene now, would they be able to mould the baby's head back into something resembling normal size. Have the underlying membranes been too badly damaged?

Did you read even the summary? Here, let me cut out the relevant part:

The condition affects 1 in 500 babies and is treatable in the UK through a standard two-hour procedure, where a neurosurgeon inserts a thin tube called a shunt to drain the fluid.
But Dilla’s family have been unable to afford any treatment and doctors in Indonesia are now reluctant to carry out the operation due to the severity of Dilla’s condition.
