Last weekend, the world at-large was deeply affected by the awful events that took place in Aurora, Colorado. The movie theater should be a sacred place where we can be safely swept away by great stories for a couple of hours anytime we'd like. Whether it's THE DARK KNIGHT RISES or THE TWILIGHT SAGA, that is something that should be afforded to everyone everywhere at any time.
Since last week's tragedy, I've been emailed with all sorts of ideas from people looking to do something, wanting to contribute in some way in order to help the victims and their families in Aurora. You've taken what happened personally, as have so many of us, and you want to help.
Well, Hans Zimmer is hoping to mobilize your aid, and here's your chance to do something for those in Colorado.
Hans Zimmer, who did compose the musical score for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, has now created an entirely new musical composition entitled "Aurora." He recorded it in recent days in London as a tribute to those who lost their lives and those who are still recovering from injuries sustained as a result of what happened.
You can purchase the song on iTunes for the usual $1.29 or you can donate directly down below any amount you choose:

100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Aurora Victim Relief organization through GivingFirst.org.

I don't get it, what does this money go for? They get free money because of this? Maybe a father died, no income? That type of stuff?

Well, the surviviors might have some painful injuries that might need expensive medical care for maybe many more years. These proceeds and donations can help them.

No healthcare (and yet people still vote against it....)

Isn't the up-and-coming comedian who was shot in the eye, and whose wife just gave birth, potentially facing a 2 million dollar medical bill? (are they giving him a bionic eye, or what?)
Perhaps the NRA can take Mr. Zimmer's lead, and help these people out.
