Outlook after renaming a Microsoft account

This is a question for those who have renamed their MS accounts.

I used my gmail account for my Live ID before and there are 2 other e-mail addresses connected to it. I decided to rename it for a shorter outlook e-mail address. However, after renaming, I can no longer receive emails from the 2 other accounts (they are still connected according to settings) Has any of you guys experienced this delay? It's been only around 5 hours since I renamed it.

What do you mean by connected e-mail addresses? Are they Linked to it or are they just aliases?

I actually mean receving e-mails from other other accounts using POP. It's fixed now. I did a sweep for all folders then re-added those accounts :)
