Two inmates tried to escape from prison by disguising themselves as bags of rubbish.

The pair hoped to be picked up and thrown out with the waste but a guard foiled the plot when he noticed the bag 'shaking'. Police in Curitiba said "We don't know how they expected someone to pick them up and carry them away. These are grown men and the bags are made of thin plastic".
