PS+ Cloud Storage limit raised to 1GB

Sony has finally raised the limit from a measly 150MB to 1GB for PS+ cloud storage. I had to start deleting stuff to upload some of my recent game saves, so this is welcome new for me.

Really? I only had to delete one game, i forget which one it was, but it was taking up a RIDICULOUS amount of size, like 125 MB. Ever since then, I have been good, like nowhere close, and I have all my games go to cloud save. But I will take more space any day, means I do not have to delete anything. Really wish I remember which game it was, it was definitely not a larger well known title, I do recall that. Good news either way.

Awesome news. I ran out of space about a month or 2 ago. Now I can finally start uploading the other saved games I have. Now if only they would let us share our accounts with at least 3 people :p

FFXIII-2 has save files around 25MB. You have a few of those and it doesn't take long before your 150MB is completely wiped out.

Yeah SSX had the ghost save file which was over 100MB and Mafia 2 save file is like 50MB. Haven't uploaded those yet but I'll set it up to sync those when it auto-updates and I should have everything backed up to the cloud now. Really glad they did this and was worried that we were going to be stuck with 150MB for a while to come.

What I'm really looking forward to with PS+ is what they have to offer the Vita in the, hopefully near, future.

Red Dead Redemption is the game for September too, so another big name game if you are new to the system.

You can essentially buy a PS3, get a 12-month PS+ subscription and be set. Pretty sweet, I'd say.

Oh nice! Borderlands is free on PS+? I guess that's only Aussie-land though, right? Hopefully we get that soon. I'm picking my unit up somewhere between the 20th and the 27th.

What region do you live in? Aussie-land (lol) is part of the European zone, so if you're in Europe I think you'll get it as well. Regardless of where you are, the PS+ freebies are usually pretty good.

Also for those in the US who are + members, definitely check out Outland if you like platformers! It is a really damn good game, feel it was criminally overlooked.

Nah it'll be the same. Sony seem to be focussing on unity, the likes of the buy on one platform get on another. The Playstation mobile integration works like that as well, buy a game once, play it on PS3/Vita/Android mobile phone. They talked about all of that in the conference.
