Malechai Veteran Posted January 16, 2002 Veteran Share Posted January 16, 2002 if you removed open, how would you get at any of your data?
Herb_Davis_Y2K
Ok...I'll explain. When I double-click it no loger opens in the current window. It leave "My computer" open and then opens the "C" drive in a new window. All I want is to be able to double-click and it open the drive in the same window. Selecting the "Open windows in same window" option does nothing for this situation. BTW...you could remove open and get at your data. You would have to use the drop down address box. But why would you want to. ;) TIA
Malechai Veteran Posted January 16, 2002 Veteran Share Posted January 16, 2002 So in Folder Options in Control Panel, selecting "Open each folder in the same Window" does nothing for you? If thats the case, try selecting "open each folder in its own window", click apply, then select the previous again, click apply, and click ok. see what happens
Roger H. Veteran Posted January 16, 2002 Veteran Share Posted January 16, 2002 if that doesn't work then just do it the opposite of what he said..
Herb_Davis_Y2K
I believe it HAS to be changed via the registry. The other options do nothing. Thanks again
