Taking the Pizza

Fast food delivery-man Ozgur Aslan has told police how he caused a 50,000 GBP crash when another driver took the pizza out of his humble Smart car.

Ozgur saw red when a sporty BMW challenged him to a road race while he was ferrying food around Dreirosen, Switzerland, in his firm's official delivery car.

"Out of nowhere the BMW was behind me. There were two men in there and they kept driving close up the back end of my car.

"They were playing very loud music, they kept looking and laughing at me. They were trying to provoke me," he explained.

But as Omar put his foot down, the Smart car skidded out of control, taking out a bus stop, street railings, a phone box and a bench before it came to a halt.

Police have been unable to trace the BMW or its driver.

But pizza firm boss Elmas Demirici said he wouldn't be sacking Ozgur.

"He came and apologised and I accept what he told me. And if I sacked him he couldn't afford to pay me back," he explained.
