A woman who was suffering from depression is believed to have fed herself to the crocodiles at a popular tourist attraction in Thailand.

The 36-year-old Thai woman told her husband that she was going to see a doctor and would then go to popular Crocodile Farm in Samut Prakarn just outside Bangkok.

She never returned home but she was caught on CCTV cameras entering the tourist attraction 20 miles south of the capital.

The mystery has deepened because the Crocodile Farm have reportedly denied the incident took place.

However, husband Sunai Jisathra, 55, claims he was told by workers there that a woman fitting his wife Tiphawan's description had been killed.

He said farm workers told him it happened after the woman 'jumped intentionally' into a crocodile pit.

Mr Jisathra also said he had been contacted by a man who said he represented the farm and wished to make a settlement.

The husband said that he was not surprised. His wife had money problems and had suffered from depression for a long time.

'It was possible she had committed suicide to escape her troubles,' he said.

He said he would not file any charges against the farm owner. All he wanted was the truth and that incidents at tourist attractions in Thailand can often be covered up.

Exactly what I was thinking... how bad must your life be that you think that's the best way to end things! :|

If she for some reason believed she deserved to suffer which can happen with depression, that point would be irrelevant.

But as she is dead and we will never know why she did it, your point is irrelevant ;)

My point was to show that your comment is highly insensitive and irrelevant and your only proving it with your rebuttal.

How is anything I say, anything to do with you whatsoever ?

Don't like what I say, keep walking. Replying again will only show your level of maturity.

Conversation with you, over.

So how is me saying anything different then? Take your own advise kid. Anyone who suggests something in the say sentence as not doing it invalidates themselves.

Your keep walking don't reply statement only shows your level of maturity and demonstrates nothing of mine. You lack of being able to talk like an adult says enough in itself.

Sometimes people's lives aren't nearly as bad as they make themselves believe it is, they're just surrounded by ars-oles. My comments aren't in anyway directed at the story above, it's just a general statement. But I do agree with what you're saying, it's kind of a strange one.

Why is it that the subscribers on Neowin tend to be the most immature around here.

Back on topic... I know there was a time a decade ago when I was depressed. During that time I did things that were designed to punish myself. Nothing suicidal but I could remember hurting myself and thinking that it was what I deserved. The more I see these stories about how far similar forms of depression takes people, the more I am glad that I never progressed that far.

There was once a guy here in the States who did himself in by guzzling the acid out of a car battery. You have to know some pretty damning demons to do that.
