Astra.Xtreme
Also what happens to that thing when it sees a corner in here distance, never mind having to actually take it... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_N%C3%BCrburgring_Nordschleife_lap_times Actually the CTS-V competes right up there with the supercars. Maybe you should actually research the suspension tech that Caddy developed. If I'm not mistaken, they were the pioneers of the magnetic suspension that Ferrari and Audi use now. It's not that hard to modify a muscle car to do under 10 seconds. Top speed is what prevails here.

+Majesticmerc MVC Posted September 7, 2012 MVC Share Posted September 7, 2012 Meh. Sure it's a powerful car, but it's ugly as sin. I'd definitely choose the Bugatti given the choice.
alpha2beta
typical response. Have you ever driven a Cadillac? Typical response from a Cadillac driver, the car was never designed to have that much power, there is no way that car can properly handle that much power, and these kind of mods from Hennessey is not new, they have been doing this for years with different cars. Even if the car does handle good it would ride like a lumber wagon. I beg to differ, Cadillac makes nice luxury interiors My 1997 Cadillac Eldorado's interior: Lots of cheap plastic and fake wood is all I see. ahhell and Biohead 2 Share

That's actually real wood son, i know i've torn about my console and dash a few times (note the aftermarket radio)..And there's no plastic, it's leather, wood and metal. Your Cadillac may have a better interior than a typical Honda, Toyota, Ford, Chevy, etc. But the interior still pales in comparison to other cars in the same segment or other luxury cars. Of course there's plastic in there, and definitely to the extent I believe in. I've been in Cadillacs to know...
Nashy
Don't believe everything you watch on Top Gear. American cars really don't deserve that reputation any more. I just got back from the states and spent a day driving around in a Dodge Challenger R/T with the 5.7 Hemi engine - it exceeded all of my expectations and really was a hell of a fun car. Ride quality and handling were impressive. Anyway - on topic. Maybe in a sprint this will beat the Bugatti.. but that's all it has. The Veyron has build quality this car can only dream of, and I'm willing to bet reliability too... this is a Cadillac (and a very good one.. I'm not taking anything away from it) with performance modifications bolted onto it. The Veyron is more than just a car. Performance is only part of what makes the Veyron so special. I work for a mechanical shop here in Australia. American cars are absolute rubbish.

Guest LiquidCrystalMeth
I'll put $1,000,000 on the Veyron The caddilac might be okay in a straight line, but even looking at it you just know the minute it gets even a whiff of a corner, it will just lie over, way higher CofG and with styling that can only be described as brick on wheels. I can picture it now, in my minds eye, wallowing round the corners.... And i wonder if theyve yet joined this millennium and discovered something other than a live rear axle? And i'd give the clutch exactly 1 lap before it destroyed itself going on average american build and component quality. The only plus is that someone in America has finally figured out how to get decent HP out of a big engine, too many times we've seen mammoth engines outputting laughingly small hp in comparison to what we've seen manufacturers elsewhere on the planet do, including here in Oz. CG-88
The Veyron was not just about insane speed and power it was about a technically perfect car. Where everything was high end, fluid in its functionality, the best of the best, the ultimate car! ?9000 magnesium indicator stalks for example haha
