I have an older Gateway laptop, running XP.

Not a single problem with it in the last 14 months. I had audio muted since facebook games have annoying music and sound fx.

Last night, I wanted to watch youtube videos. No sound. Unmuted from windows sound utility in the taskbar, no sound still. Checked youtube sound, turned on winamp, checked drivers. Everything is working.

I plugged in 3 pairs of head phones, to bypass the built in speakers. No sound.

WHAT?!

Did you check in Device manager, make sure it's there?

Reinstall drivers.
