We knew some Swiss retailers were going to have the Nokia Lumia 920 on their shelves, but now Swisscom, the country?s largest carrier, has also confirmed on twitter that they will be carrying the handset also.

In response to a question they revealed the phone will be in their online store in mid-November, and available in stores from early December this year.

The conversation went as follows:

Peter Schoenthal @peterschoenthal

@ Swisscom_Care The new iPhone is really disappointing ? When can I buy from you, the Nokia Lumia 920?

Swisscom_Care @ Swisscom_Care

@ peterschoenthal The Nokia Lumia 920 is from mid-November through the online shop, or from early December be ordered Swisscom Shop

Hopefully we will soon hear from more carriers around the world, but I think many of us can start planning our own early Christmas present.

Seems to be that November is the date yet again, (so far it's been the case for every major release of WP).

it seems like these dates are getting later and later. maybe there is some truth to the rumors that MS is having problems finishing it. Nokia not showing off the OS and HTC still hasnt revevealed their phones.

HTC has an event on the 19th set for their new reveal. I bet a bit after that MS will say WP8 has RTMd (I bet it's before Sept ends in either case). Then they'll have some event in Oct to show us the OS and open the SDK to everyone, with devices going on sale in Nov.

So, we see new hardware this month, the final OS next month and stuff hits the market the month after. I think it works out and keeps WP8 in the news.
