iTunes 11 UI

Recommended Posts

One application to purchase and sync things and one application to playback media files. Now that would be sweet.

iOS syncing should just be baked into OS X. Maybe a syncing Menu Extras icon in the Menu Bar and an app or pref pane to manage what you want to sync. I totally agree with people here it makes little sense you have to sync your phone or tablet through a media player.

Why is it when you download and them delete the app on your iPhone, it re-appears on you r PC when you sync the phone?

Probably because you have Automatic Downloads enabled for Apps on your iPhone/iTunes.

I read some pretty good advice online: If you are Jailbreaking your iOS device it may be a good idea to wait and see what the JB community thinks about iTunes 11 before upgrading. It wouldn't be out-of-the-ordinary for Apple to lock down this new version of iTunes to make things harder on Jailbreakers.

* The only untethered JB available is for 5.1.1. If you upgrade your device to iOS 6, you will need to use the SHSH stitch method on the 5.1.1 firmware file for your hardware in order to have iTunes restore your device to 5.1.1. It is possible that iTunes 11 will make that more difficult if not impossible.

* If you are holding out for an iOS 6 untethered JB and/or an A5/iPhone 5 untethered JB then there is a possibility that having iTunes 11 will make that more difficult if not impossible.

Anyway, best to keep v10 installed if you are into Jailbreaking until we hear from Dev Team or the right folks on Twitter (not the wrong folks who consistently spam bogus links).

If you risk it there is a possibility that you will be able to downgrade iTunes if need be.

I think most people know. They just said end of November, and the days are running out quick!

My post was basically a reply to the person who posted before me on the 22nd of November about how he though it would be out before the end of the week, I was simply reminding him that that 23rd-26th was a four day Holiday Weekend. In fact some people like Schools and the U.S. Congress had the full week off last week! Don't know if this Applied to Apple or NOT as I am NOT an Apple Employee. Just FYI.

Did you suggest me I should have paid $899 from apple.ca instead of $279 with Fido and still be stuck with a 60$/month fee for all my cellphone services ?

The reason why I had to pay $649.99 for a 16 GB White/Silver IPhone 5 was due to the fact that I was NOT yet Eligable for a New Contract with Verizon Wireless, and still won't be Eligable until 05/19/2013 (assuming the World does NOT end on 12/21/2012). The actual price for an IPhone 5 with a New 2 Year Contract stats at $199 for 16 GB IPhone 5 and goes up $100 for each Larger Size.

Seeing as the guy who was in charge of Apple Maps just got fired this week perhaps the person directly in charge of iTunes 11 is trying to make sure every little bug is ironed out before release to make sure that doesn't happen to them as well

If it's delayed once more, their stocks will go down for sure.

Same thing if it's filled with bugs.

iTunes is their most widely spread application since I can't remember.

Then they better have it perfect.

Apple isn't exactly on top of their game lately. I'm becoming increasingly more annoyed by the fact iLife and iWork haven't seen any significant updates either.

I sometimes feel like that, but then i think.. i'm sulking for something i really don't need, i'm perfectly happy with iWork and iLife and iWork in particular surpasses anything Microsoft can offer on OSX.

We all love updates but sometimes i think we get hung up on it for no reason, but of course everyones needs are different, maybe you are crying out for features the software packages do not have?

Didn't both receive "Retina" updates? I know iLife has received small incremental updates. Idk... the next BIG upgrade Apple will probably want me to pay for the software again.
