You mean the fact it's a mobile-centric OS right?

It feels very much like QNX to me, the minimizing/gestures.

I certainly like some of the features. Not in love with the look of the UI. But, overall it doesn't look half bad. Not to mention, even though BB has dropped in mindshare it's still recent enough to hold favor with quite a few people.

No, but I think they're impressed by the implementation of gestures to switch between "active frames" (of apps) and to get to the BlackBerry Hub.

I think the UI looks promising but right now, it looks stock and unbranded. There's another feature that wasn't demoed called time shift. It's a camera feature that isolates people's faces and goes back in time to ensure everyone is smiling. It's great for pictures where someone smiles too early or too late. The multilingual predictive text feature is pretty cool too. I don't think that has been done yet.

Support for Android apps would be great but is it really necessary? If I owned a BB10 device, I'd prefer to use apps that have native OS support as opposed to non-native apps (like Android). I guess it'd be great for Android-specific apps but I can't even think of any that won't have a BB10 version.

I don't think the design of the phone (BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha B) is final. It was made for developers and we know that they don't need a good-looking phone. To them, function is much more important than form. I'm sure the consumer version will look better.
