Laughing-Man
I am fixing a friends computer and we are at college. She can log her computer onto the school network using novell and she went home for winter break and was using AOL. Now when she came back all she can do is log onto Novell and see things on the school network, but everytime she opens something like IE or Netscape or AIM that go outside of the school network, all Windows gives is a windows error and closes the program. I tried reinstalling the TCP/IP, but that does not work. She is running Win98. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me.
Big Booger
using the schools connection, I'd suggest you to call the IT department at school and see what the flip is going on. Ask if they have updated there service, ie changed the TCP/IP configurations, passwords, username etc... Are you using the correct input when configuring the TCP/IP protocol? Big Booger If that is not the issue, and it is the TCP/IP, have you tried unistalliong the NIC, and reinstalling as well as the Protocols etc... Vlad
Try running winipcfg and check out what comes up. I'm sure if somethings wrong with tcpip, it'll show up there. If somethings really wrong, there's always ye olde format c:
