theyarecomingforyou
Meh. Bit boring.
myxomatosis
Sometimes, with all this minimalism, I feel like I'm back in 1993 when I started using the Internet, with my 14.4kbps modem. Everything is so boring
Duffydemon
Looks simple and clean, i like it.

Cute James
Shouldn't the overlayed box and text in the main content images be created using HTML+CSS, rather 'cheating' with a bitmap? remixedcat 1 Share
Gladiatorus
It's kind of nice, but liked the previous one better. remixedcat 1 Share
Denis W. Veteran Posted September 28, 2012 Veteran Share Posted September 28, 2012 Looks alright. I've always found their front page to be tacky (especially around the Vista era) but now it's nice and simple.
+devHead Subscriber² Posted September 28, 2012 Subscriber² Share Posted September 28, 2012 I like it. It's clean and good. However, I find it somewhat curious that the blue Windows flag down at the bottom of the page under "Other Microsoft Sites" is the old curvy flag, not the new one in Windows 8. Maybe that's because Windows 8 hasn't been released officially yet, so they're using the interesting hybrid crossover blue flag (from Windows 8) but curvy flag (from Windows 7 and earlier). chrisj1968
ms has definitely lost the innovation curve it had years ago. this website screams... rushed and not thought out
+virtorio MVC Posted September 28, 2012 MVC Share Posted September 28, 2012 I get the new site in IE10, but the old site in Chrome and Safari. And I'm only getting a new front page, all the other pages look the same. Anyway, I think it looks nice. And it's good to see it dynamically change the layout when you make the window small. Cute James
Hmmm...now I'm confused. I just tried the site again at home (using the same version of Chrome as my work PC) and the layout is completely different - the overlay boxes + text are proper elements, and not bitmaps. Would someone kindly post a screenshot of how it should look?
articuno1au
I think I preferred the older design >.>

+jamesyfx Subscriber² Posted September 28, 2012 Subscriber² Share Posted September 28, 2012 It's nice, but it's not as unique as their designs usually are. Any good designer could've done this.
