Looks alright. I've always found their front page to be tacky (especially around the Vista era) but now it's nice and simple.

I like it. It's clean and good. However, I find it somewhat curious that the blue Windows flag down at the bottom of the page under "Other Microsoft Sites" is the old curvy flag, not the new one in Windows 8. Maybe that's because Windows 8 hasn't been released officially yet, so they're using the interesting hybrid crossover blue flag (from Windows 8) but curvy flag (from Windows 7 and earlier).

I get the new site in IE10, but the old site in Chrome and Safari. And I'm only getting a new front page, all the other pages look the same.

Anyway, I think it looks nice. And it's good to see it dynamically change the layout when you make the window small.

Hmmm...now I'm confused.

I just tried the site again at home (using the same version of Chrome as my work PC) and the layout is completely different - the overlay boxes + text are proper elements, and not bitmaps.

Would someone kindly post a screenshot of how it should look?

Fantastic, now I can say my ****ty blog has a much more developed and content-rich design than the Microsoft web ecosystem -_-"
