Daedroth
I'm planning on trading in my damaged and broken Vauxhall Corsa D 1.0L 2007 as a deposite for a Mazda 2. I've been googling reviews of the car, and it seems to get some very good reviews. The only downsides that I can find are that it is a bit smaller than the Corsa, its loud at 60/70mph and the ride is a bit firm. None of those are an issue for me, so I'm just asking whether other people have had issues, or know of anyone who has had issues with this car? I can't afford the car for a little while, so I'm putting off a test drive for a few weeks, but just trying to get some opinions together.
akaladis Veteran Posted September 30, 2012 Veteran Share Posted September 30, 2012 I own a 2008 Mazda2, and I must say, it's a great driver's car. Never had any issues with it being loud, but then again, that may come down to what you're used to. The ride is indeed a bit stiff, especially in the pre-facelift models. If you're not driving on good tarmac you may want to consider picking the 15" alloys instead of the 16". This will give you a much more comfortable ride. I'm still with 16" alloys because I've grown used to it and the steering feels so damn precise. Also, if you like to have fun driving, the Mazda2 is the best fun you can have at this budget. I feel there's a tiny bit of MX-5 DNA in there... Though you haven't got your zoom-zoom wheels yet, I'll just leave this here... Welcome to the Mazda family! Here's mine btw:
Nashy
I run a mechanical shop, and they seem to be a very reliable, inexpensive vehicle.
