AndyD
I'm getting a replacement phone tomorrow and want to transfer everything to the new phone with little effort. Use Titanium?
Nick H. Supervisor Posted September 30, 2012 Supervisor Share Posted September 30, 2012 A vote for Titanium from me. I use it and it seems to do the trick.
Detection
Also if your rooted with CWM recovery, you can create a full ROM backup and restore from CWM
AndyD
Thanks guys I'm rooted but not sure what CWM recovery is. I guess another question I have is how do I remove the root? Since I have to send the phone back to the insurance company

Since I have to send the phone back to the insurance company Guide for unrooting here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1743780 CWM is ClockWorkMod Recovery, it replaces the stock recovery with a powerful custom recovery that allows you to install .zip updates and flash custom ROMs and make full backups etc

bmdixon
Another way is using adb backup. Take a look at this post. Don't need root to do it, and it fully backs up your phone (as far as i'm aware)

Don't need root to do it, and it fully backs up your phone (as far as i'm aware) ADB backup takes forever I think, vaguely remember trying it back when I first got my TF101 and the devs said it was possible but would take hours/days
AndyD
Alright that messed up my phone quite a bit lol. So next time I think I would prefer going the image route. Would something like ROM Manager be a good idea? At this point I don't mind spending $5-10 to have something where when I recover I don't have to go through this again. Also should I expect to have to hit install every time an app is installed from a Titanium backup? That was annoying
