Elliot B.
I am switching from iOS to Android. I use Facebook Messenger as my main way of contact for many friends. When I get a new message each time, I get a Push Notification. Does this work the same in Android?
TAZMINATOR
Of course. It does. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.facebook.orca&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDMsImNvbS5mYWNlYm9vay5vcmNhIl0.
Elliot B.
Of course. It does. https://play.google....m9vay5vcmNhIl0. Sweet. As long as it sends a push notification for each and every message, I'm happy :)
virgo89
But does it show you online all the time?
LittleNeutrino Veteran Posted October 10, 2012 Veteran Share Posted October 10, 2012 yes it does, i just found this out via someone sending me a message and it is VERY annoying.
AbandonedTrolley
yes it does, i just found this out via someone sending me a message and it is VERY annoying. When in the persons messages there is a info button in the top right hand corner, click that and turn off notifications for that person.
+InsaneNutter MVC Posted October 18, 2012 MVC Share Posted October 18, 2012 It doesn't show me as on-line all the time, I have a little mobile icon next to me in Facebook's contact list (if thats what you mean?). However even when i'm using Facebook messenger I never have a green circle next to my name indicating i'm on-line. If a friend opens a chat with me it informs them any messages will be delivered to my mobile device.
IronSkull
It'll throw up a "mobile" icon next to your name though, so that's always something that makes people realize that they might not respond immediately. Of course if they still keep messaging you should just throw them off your list. :p
