Nick H. Supervisor Posted October 4, 2012 Supervisor Share Posted October 4, 2012 Send me your bank details and I'll give you the ?5.11, it's hardly a bank-breaking amount. Heck, I will just have one beer less on Friday. +Matthew S. and neo1911 2 Share

Heck, I will just have one beer less on Friday. That is very generous (thanks! :)) but no, it's fine. I know it's not a lot, but it's not the point, it's the principle. These things hardly cost them anything to make or send. I am already a paying customer of theirs, so it seems daft.
Haggis Veteran Posted October 4, 2012 Veteran Share Posted October 4, 2012 I would be putting the point across that its there responsibility to provide all that is needed for you to be able to use the service you are paying for :)

I bet if I went into a Three store, that they'd give me a new SIM for free! Then again, maybe not.
Lingwo
Could you go to a local Three store and get the sim from there? Surely they wouldn't charge you for that.

I said that to them and they said, "I will talk to the manager and try to get it waived off" :shifty:
Haggis Veteran Posted October 4, 2012 Veteran Share Posted October 4, 2012 Thought hat might be the case I used to work with T-mobile lol as long as you know the words to use ;)
BGM
i would just go into a 3 store and ask them to swtich it over.. vodafone were going to charge to send me one a few years back, and i just went into a store asked to swap my number to a microsim.. about 2 hours of downtime later, all sorted. give it a go :)
-T- Member Posted October 4, 2012 Member Share Posted October 4, 2012 I found it odd when I went back to the UK for a visit, and tried to get my Orange number put onto a MicroSIM, they were completely useless. Even to get a regular SIM I had to buy a new one. I guess I'm just used to them being so disposable down here, that I forgot people charge for them
+Fahim S. MVC Posted October 4, 2012 MVC Share Posted October 4, 2012 Get one of these, or get one of the networks to give it to you for free. I got one with my corporate T-Mobile micro SIM - at least this way you can swap between standard and micro SIM devices without going through a painful porting process. http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/4-/33559961/Replacement-iPhone-4-Ipad-Micro-SIM-Card-Adaptor-Convertor/Product.html?_%24ja=tsid:11518%7Ccat:33559961%7Cprd:33559961
jakem1
If you're nice to them they will give you a replacement for free :) I know it sounds silly but I recently had to replace a dodgy SIM with 3 and after a chat the salesperson agreed to just give it to me. Zoom7000
I just walked in to an O2 shop and told them I'm an O2 customer (I'm not!) and gave them a sob story about my phone being sent off to Apple for repair (If they knew anything about Apple repairs they'd know you don't send it off for reapir!) so I need to use a crappy old Nokia and they gave me a couple of adapters for free. Just go in to most of the phone stores on the High Street and you'll find they're throwing them away.
