Help identifying skins

Recommended Posts

hey, I'm pretty new to the whole desktop customization scene and I recently stumbled upon a screenshot which I really liked (http://ratemydesktop.org/pm/W4Q0/The_autumn_laptop.html). do you happen to know how was it done? I assume it's probably rainmeter, since I've seen that many of you use it here. if identifying them is not possible, could you recommend something similar?

thanks in advance!

Yeah, if that's Windows then I would say that they're using Rainmeter. If it's OS X then they'll be using GeekTool. However, I haven't used either tool to an extent where I would be able to tell you how to recreate this look, sorry about that. I'll be sure to keep track of this thread though, it's something I've been meaning to learn about for a while now (at least, GeekTool has been, I don't have a need for Rainmeter these days).

Yeah definitely looks like Rainmeter but not a skin that I've encountered before. I'll be looking at getting a new skin later on today so if I see it or anything similar I'll let you know.

Did manage to find the wallpaper that they are using though in case you would like it as well :)

CDart display on top left and rainmeter on top right, the rainmeter skin is a mix of skins from deviantart.
