It's true that Apple clearly needed his input. Without him, they're just playing catch up to the trend rather than setting it.

Ok, every post about apple, everyone rags on Boz for his opinions which he is entitled to state. He us staying on topic, his posts put states his opinions and just because people don't agree with them doesn't mean he is being immature or trolling. Some need to look up the definitions of both and look at their own comments

Job is missed because he knew how to make things happen and make sure products are tested and ready for market with little to no issues. This started failing with the 4s and his health. He hasn't been an innovator for some time.

When jobs was healthy, things just worked and there were few problems. That is what people must, Imo.. Products that just worked

I think SJ would turn over in his grave if he knew how horrible the map service was on the iPhone 4 and it doesn't look like it got any better on the 5. I don't think he would of allowed for the release of the iPhone 5 with such bad terrain mapping.

Apple might miss him but I'd be surprised if anyone else in the tech industry does.

Besides his friends, family and possibly co-workers...I doubt anyone sincerely misses Steve Jobs. We might all miss his ability to deliver keynote speeches where he can tell the audience complete nonsense and lies with a straight face but that's not really a good reason.

If he'd cured some disease or something like that then fine. But missing a hard nosed businessman selling overpriced goods? I'll pass.

I miss Steve Jobs. Apple ain't Apple without him. Love him or hate him, the guy was a perfectionist and had a great sense of drama and mystique.

You know, I figured myself to be the last guy who'd ever miss Steve Jobs if anything happened to him.

Now, here I am, a few years later, a little more wiser, and seeing the state of things... I gotta say, I do kind of miss him being around. Don't think Apple is Apple without them. Maybe it was good that he went out on a high note though.

Perfectionist? He'd blame everyone else including the users/consumers if something went wrong. He was just an asshat.

What I love is how just like the readers of Heat Magazine or TMZ think they know sh*t about the celebrities they're so obsessed about, and relish in attacking them and stating outright what awful people they are, the members of Neowin feel they can do the same about Steve Jobs.

Famous, public figure or not ... not one person on here knew Steve Jobs and not one person here can comment on him as a person. Anyone doing so seriously needs to take a reality check and stop living in a fantasy world where you know people who'd not care to know you back.

He's all sad that Apple is getting worse and worse. Scoble doesn't represent Silicon Valley nor does anyone really miss Steve Jobs.
We have a lot of innovation and things are moving faster than ever and the only ones who are trying to slow that progress are, are Apple and it's current people who are going by Jobsian emotional outbursts and pettiness legacy. Aside from BS keynotes, not sure what we are really missing.
