Same for me in Chrome, but when I try and play the file in WMP it just says that it encountered a problem and can't play it, plus the MP3 is only 1Kb. Could just be a problem with Chrome though.

Still just the wax file I agree best way to get it would probably just be free audio recording software and just record it from the stream.

How big is the wax file ? Can't you rename / convert to .mp3 ? (Not sure what wax files are)

The wax file is only 1Kb as well, I hadn't encountered it before either but it appears to just allow a stream of the song to your media player. Checked the properties in WMP but the location still points to the wax file

The .wax file is just a shortcut thing for Windows Media Player or whatever you use, to stream the audio, I guess.

Damn I remember I used to be able to use Vista's WMP to download those files that stream instead of download. Forgot the method.

I just managed to get it down; with HiDownload Pro http://www.hidownloa...load-trial.htm.
You do need to set the stream to "Windows Media Streaming" when adding the URL.
File is 2.78MB

Download them as .wax files and use Freemake Audio Converter (http://www.freemake....udio_converter/) to convert them into .mp3

If you read previously, the .wax files are basically redirects/shortcuts/whatever.

The .wax file is a kickstarter for your media player. It's a secure server and the only way to get it is by phreaking and if I am not mistaken, it is against the Neowin rules. You can save the stream though. That's the only somewhat legal way of getting it.
