Windows 8 Pro Media Center available?

I doubt it will come to MSDN/TechNet users at all. Since MS is making it a purchased upgrade they usually leave those things out of the MSDN/Technet variants. Generally, if it isn't on MSDN/Technet already it won't be in the future generally speaking...

Of course, I could be wrong on this one as it still hasn't hit stores yet.

There are still developers who write add-ons and whatnot for Media Center, so it could appear. I remember the Windows XP MCE being on MSDN years ago.

Yea, but XP MCE was a separate SKU and not an aftermarket upgrade.

I haven't received a key yet either and I tried with 2 different emails. I presume they'll get it done soon enough.

Let me know if anyone installs this. My Pro does not have the add features (key). It is typical add features box.

Works fine, what are you meaning "does not have the add features" ?

In the preview, you could add features and enter a key. In Pro, add features brings up only turn Windows features on or off.

Edit: Apparently the option won't be available in Pro RTM until the 26th, we'll see.

Wrong. I'm using Pro and just installed it about 5 secs ago.

Could you answer my original question then? Provide the steps you used to install the key in 8 Pro RTM?

It tells you how do install it in the email that you got with the key.

"

  1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. (If you?re using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, and then click Search).
  2. Enter add features in the search box, and then tap or click Settings.
  3. Tap or click Add features to Windows 8.
  4. Then tap or click I already have a product key.
  5. Enter the product key, and then click Next.
  6. Read the license terms, select the check box to accept the license terms, and then click Add features."
