When you roll over one of the links on the top news promotion bar on neowin.net, more details about that news slides into the view. That looks pretty sleek. BUT, it also shows a popup that shows the same contents.(see the attached screenshot).

Is that really necessary as it's kind of annoying? Is there a way to turn that off?
