Is it just me who thinks doing the REFRESH of Win 8 to solve issue

is just ridiculous solution for correcting these apps issue? I'm on the Windows help forums and that seems like the solution to all the app issue.

I would suggest you to refresh Windows 8 and then check if this fixes the issue.

Follow the steps:

a. Press ?Windows Key + w?.

b. Type ?Refresh? in the search box and hit ?Enter?.

c. Select ?Get started? option under ?Refresh your PC without affecting your files? section.

d. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Important: Refreshing Windows 8 will remove all third party applications installed and it will reset all the Microsoft applications to default.

yeah that is pretty dumb, that wasn't really ment to fix issues, but take windows back to a clean state basically

What issue were they referring to?

Also, doing a refresh does not remove all applications. However, it does remove all desktop applications.
