PARIS (AP) ? A Jack Russell terrier has survived after being poisoned and buried alive ? and he can thank the man who saw the ground wiggle.

Ethan had a whole chain of saviors: the man who dug him up, firefighters and a veterinarian who nursed him back to life.

Sabrina Zamora, president of an animal association in Charleville-Mezieres, 200 kilometers (125 miles) north of Paris, said Friday the little dog was "flat as a pancake" Tuesday when he was dug up from his grave.

Veterinarian Philippe Michon called the rescue "miraculous" ? saying that Ethan's cold body was so compressed from being buried it was hard to find a vein to hydrate him.

Ethan was identified through a microchip that showed all this happened on his third birthday. :/

Disgraceful humans all over the world treating animals like this!

There are alway reports of people testing torture techniques on dogs, randomly beating them etc. It is absolutely disgusting and it makes me really sad when I look at my dog and the look he gives me, how could anyone do it!?!?!?!

Epic little dog though, he is pretty much saying FOUCK YOU to the previous owners :)

So I take it that pic was a before picture as it doesn't look "as flat as a pancake", not that I want to see it in such a state. Poor dog, I hope it gets a quick recovery and into the hands of a loving owner.

So Walt Disney did have it right. The coyote could become flat as a pancake and return to normal.....

Exactly. you got to be completely heartless/cold to do something like that.

especially being it's a dog and all as many people like dogs including myself so i completely know what you mean by the way they look at you etc.

anyone who does this type of stuff has it coming to them.

Someone that cruel is almost subhuman.

remove the 'almost' and we are in agreement ;)

because i imagine the vast majority of people could not do that to a animal, especially a dog, and then completely think nothing of it like it's no big deal.

Those who do this stuff to animals shouldn't be called humans. As a matter of fact, they shouldn't have been born at all. The human civilization is better off without those **********. And yes, for once, someone should do this stuff to one of those f******. And for once, it would be nice if they got caught and sentenced!
