Outrageous price to park at World Series

Recommended Posts

One garage near AT&T Park in San Francisco was charging "Full Size" SUVs and trucks $130 to park for Game 1 of the World Series on Wednesday night. Hummers get no breaks, you know? But, if you drive a "compact SUV" or a "Minivan," it'll cost you only a cool hundred. It's 90 bucks for a car the size of a Prius or a '69 Dodge Dart.

Because the games start at 5 p.m. San Francisco time, many of the garages still are busy with the cars of working commuters. That will reduce the number of available spaces.

So if it's this much to leave your car somewhere for a few hours, how much will it cost to park yourself at the game inside the stadium? Well, Game 2 tickets on StubHub start at $495 for standing-room only. ... ooh, they're gone. OK, how about $515 for high up in the upper tank?
