How to enable Windows 8 gesture support for legacy ALPs touch pads.

I managed to get gestures (charm bar and app switching) to work on my two year old Sony Vaio installing these ALPs drivers. It seems the drivers are fairly generic.

It was a bit tricky to figure out at first. Since my touch pad is recessed into the laptop chassis. I assumed you had to swipe from the edge of the touch pad, but it actually worked flawlessly by swiping from the outside of the touchpad across the bevel. Good luck!
