I upgraded to Windows 8 yesterday and I'm having a problem which is that when I plug in my iPhone or iPad they aren't showing on 'My Computer' or Dropbox importing new pictures from my phone but they do show in iTunes and sync fine. When I have a look at the devices installed they show as Generic Apple Device. Anybody else having the same problem? I've tried doing a search and nothing came up (or if it did it was from 2011). DjmUK Posted October 27, 2012 Share Posted October 27, 2012 Howdy, I upgraded to Win 8 Pro last night, and thanks for reminding me about Apple. I just plugged my iPhone on, it installed and iTunes picked it up and in My Computer (Win+E) it's listed and I can browse the photos on there. I did nothing though, plugged it in and it did the rest.
