It's a screen not a menu. One that takes up the entire screen.

It's still a menu stop arguing and look up the definition of the word menu.

By everyone into tech and by Microsoft themselves, it's a start screen. Not a menu.

Sure you can! It's just less designed for business productivity than previous versions. Windows 8 is all about personal, social connections and entertainment. Not a business OS at all.


With even a little imagination, you can see where social networking is a plus for business's. Whether it's with customers, fellow employees/bosses, suppliers, etc.... and that just scratches the surface with what you can do.

So do I. I use both Windows 8 apps and the desktop apps to be productive.
