Can't see my second hard drive on Win8

Recommended Posts

I installed Windows 8 Pro on my computer. I have a second hard drive that I keep all my files.

When I was using Win7 and Win Xp, I had no issues but now the hard drive does not show up on my computer.

Is there any reason why this is happening?

Below are some screenshots ,

Any suggestion ?

Are you sure during the installation process you didn't accidentally delete the partition & recreate it on the disk? It might well be worth going back to Windows 7 or booting off some kind of Linux Live CD to see if another operating system can view the data on the disk.

Do you have another PC nearby you can put this disk into to see if it can be read?

DON'T format it just yet... :)

Something has corrupted the drives partition table, you're going to need to run a data recovery software on it to save your files, then format the drive to repair it
