Okay, we got a printer on the network, a Canon IP4600 shared on a Windows XP computer. It works fine on Vista and 7 over the network, but 8 has complicated things.

We installed the Windows 8 drivers on the computer locally just fine, and then added the printer through the Add Printer wizard. It didn't quite detect it correctly at first in the Devices and Printers area, but after a reboot it showed up fine and the driver's properties window was working right. But actually printing is causing issues; in Firefox we're getting the "An unknown error occurred while printing" error, and in IE we're getting a script error for a missing preview.js

This is a serious issue that I need solved ASAP - anyone got ideas?

Edit: Okay then nevermind. It actually worked after I used the "net use LP2" workaround. Genius! Edited by Lirodon
