Deihmos
I created an image recovery but when I boot with the win 8 disc it does not see the image recovery. The file is a vhdx. What is the problem?
Deihmos
I think you misunderstood. I had windows 8 pro installed and created a system image for recovery. I restored my windows 7 recovery and that went fine. Now I want to restore windows 8 recovery by booting with the disc but win 8 does not see the recovery. It can only see the win 7 recovery. f0rk_b0mb
Can you see it with your Windows 7 CD? You can do a fresh install from the upgrade CD if you like. Google is your friend---that's all I'm saying. :)
Deihmos
I don't want to reinstall and prefer to restore the recovery.. Windows 7 does not see the image as the format is different vhdx. I have googled with no answer to why the vhdx is not seen. I have found a few threads with the same issue but no solution.
Deihmos
Deihmos, where did you store the recovery image? It is stored on a USB hard drive.
