Patch Tuesday updates are now live and Surface owners get a new firmware and a performance rollup patch. Applying right now on my surface, hope to report back soon if I see anything changed.

On Windows 8 it takes ages to install those updates, at least 20 min on my computer, probably even more.

SSD or non SSD? It took a while for an SSD anyway to install them about 5 mins.

Oh dear god, what's with the massive updates? This seals the deal for me, I'm gonna set up WSUS on my network so I don't have to download these things multiple times.

Updates don't seem to be taking that long to install on my SSD. Probably 5mins or so, but we're talking 295-300MB for me so no small install really.
