I think it's based on people giving you a star rating on your profile.

I had 3 before this topic kicked off, but like you I'm unsure >.<

Congrats for making it up to 4 stars. I've been hanging in 2-star limbo for years. Not exactly nice to be in the same group as some of the political nutjobs, but that's the price for my old fanboyisms in the Gamers Hangout.

Haha, funnily enough I just removed it because it had bugged out on my side. Seems it was working for others.

Basically if you go into your profile settings, under the tab 'Profile Customisation' you can find the options there

It's a customisation feature on the forums.

I'd suggest he has access to it due to being a mod >.<

I've had 5 stars for as long as I can remember, I never really post in politics though. Had a couple of scuffles with other members but on the whole if I disagree with someone I just ignore them so I think that may play a big role in it
